Graphic propaganda poster to inform viewer

Poster Design

Objective: To create a piece of art based on a given article about propaganda and graphic design during First World War.

Solution: Designed an ad that emulated a piece of propaganda that would have been seen during this time, but clearly it was just the opposite once the viewer started reading it up close. Reading the text reveals how these graphic posters were used to manipulate people to enlist. Making the poster seem straight to the point to get men and even women to enlist was key when designing this poster. Being blunt further developed the idea of this straightforward graphic imagery that was seen to make people enlist, raise money and or raise morale. Posters were made to question if men were doing their part in society by enlisting.
