Visual Design
Objective: To visually and graphically, using only shapes and type represent a typical day of the week. This was a typical Friday. Starting off with sleeping, abruptly waking up to a shower, quickly eating breakfast in the morning, stuck in traffic during commute, learning in classes, driving back home and listening to music along the way, arriving and finally getting the chance to relax, hanging out with friends and family and then going back to sleep to start another day.
Solution: Used an abstract way to display a common Friday. This was done by creating shapes that represented the actions that were being preformed. For instance, like the watery shape for taking a shower, or the bite mark for eating. The typography also reflected exactly what was being preformed, like the angles the words are positioned. The colors represented different parts of the day, dark blue for early morning, gray and yellow for the roads, yellow for the sun outside and back to a dark purple for nighttime.
