Hiking Mount Tom Easthampton Massachusetts

Sunset over Easthampton Massachusetts

Visiting a familiar place during a different time of day can reignite creativity. I’ve hiked Mount Tom in Easthampton Massachusetts a few times before, but never waited for the sun to set. At the beginning it was pretty gloomy, with some light sprinkling. However, I decided to push forward to encourage myself to enjoy the first bit of warm weather we’ve had here in Western Massachusetts.

At the top I caught a glimpse of some paragliders slowly drifting towards Easthampton soil. 45 minutes later the sun started to peek through the clouds and set at the same time. It changed my entire perspective on this short little hike. I was able to catch some vivid light throughout the valley below. A worthwhile adventure and reminder to experience familiar places at different times the of day.
